Secretary: Kristin Naumann
Hello! I am a Junior Early Childhood Education Pre-K to 4 major with an English minor, and this is my fifth semester serving as the secretary of Shippensburg University's chapter of Student PSEA. SU-PSEA has been fundamental to my development as a pre-service teacher; the professional development sessions and community service projects have especially shaped my perspective on education. Beyond PSEA, I am also a Writing Tutor at the Learning Center on campus, the Vice-President of the Arts and Crafts Educators club, and a volunteer Sunday School teacher at a local church. I believe education is a powerful tool that can be used to change the world, and I am proud to be a part of an organization that believes the same. |
Treasurer: Shelby Rhoten
I am an Elementary Education Major and I have been involved with PSEA for 3 semesters. I am currently the treasurer for the Shippensburg chapter. I also sit on a regional board committee and on the IRC state committee. My previous position with PSEA was the Shippensburg PACE Chair. One of my favorite experiences through PSEA was going to Boston this past summer for the SLC/RA. I had the privilege of representing student members and the state of Pennsylvania at one of the biggest education conferences. My one piece of advise for everyone is to get involved, meet new people and have fun because you never know where your experiences will take you. I would have never guessed that I would have had the opportunities I have through PSEA and each one of them has helped me grow and gain experience that will help me once I get into the classroom. |
